

Chennai Super Kings have written history once again they beat Gujarat Titans in the finals of the 2023 IPL. CSK beat GT by five wickets at Narendra Modi Stadium. CSK beat GT and they won their fifth IPL title, they became the joint IPL trophy holder with Mumbai Indians. It was a thrilling finish, the game that won by the last ball of the match by Ravindra Jadeja, he smashes down to four. Chennai required 10 runs in the last two balls, and Jadeja smash a six and a four to get the match won. It is not only the Jadeja that helped CSK to win the entire game. Every CSK batter made a great contribution. Devon Conway that played a good innings of 47 of 25 at starts, and cameo of 19 off 8 by Ambati Rayudu pushed CSK further close to victory.
But after the win, MS Dhoni made a heart-warming gesture for Rayudu and Jadeja. They called both stars to collect the IPL trophy during the post-match ceremony. Many former crickets and then others praised Dhoni for what he did. In the latest interview, Rayudu explained why Dhoni did it when asked him to collect the trophy.
Ambati Rayudu retirement
Surely, it was the last game for the 37-year-old as Ambayi Rayudu announced that the IPL final that he will retire from the forms of cricket after the IPL 2023 finals. Rayudu said,” Before the ceremony, he called me and Jaddu, saying that he wants us to join while lifting the IPL trophy. He thinks that it was the right moment to do it with us. It was really special on my part; I don’t think that ever happened. What’s special about MS? that the world knows.”
The veteran Indian batter finished his IPL career with 204 games and 4332 runs with an average of 28.31 and 127.22 strike rate. He scored one century and 22 half-centuries in his IPL career. Even CSK head coach Stephen Fleming highlight how he was important for the match. After the win, Fleming says that it will be a big hole for filling his place in the team. It was an emotional time for the team members.
Most experienced player- Ambati Rayudu
Rayudu has been a big part of CSK’s setup, having been on the side since 2018 after playing the Mumbai Indians from year 2010 to 2017. he is largely played as an impact substitute for CSK games. Rayudu is considered as the top ten most experienced IPL cricketers and then the second most successful IPL crickets with five titles, with Mumbai Indians and CSK. IPL is having more times and Rayudu that is having the chance to equal the record if CSK wins on Sunday. Rayudu made his IPL debut back in the IP 2010 with Mumbai Indians. He instant hit, scoring 55 of 33 against Rajasthan Royals. However, his best came in IPL 2018 for Chennai Super Kings.
Under Rohit, Rayudu won the games of 2013, 2015, and 2017 titles with Mumbai Indians and then won the 2018 IPL titles with CSK. Rayudu has missed with first two years of competitions because of his association with Indian cricket leagues. Rayudu made his century that came against Sunrises Hyderabad in 2018.

However, in the recent tweet announcing his retirement. This time Ambati Rayadu will not be going to come back. He says that ”2 gear teams mi CSK tonight. It has been quite a journey. I have decided that tonight is going to be the last game in the IPL. I have enjoyed all the matches in the tournament. It’s a fairy tale finish and I couldn’t be asked for more in this life. It’s unbelievable, that fortunate to have played in the great side. This win is something I will going to remember for the rest of my life though. All my hard work in the last 30 years, will make me happy and it will finish on the note. I can smile with a lot of memories that I have in the IPL tournaments.”
Rayudu a key member of the CSK squad since 2018, having previously playing for Mumbai Indians from 2010 to 2017. Rayudu will leave the IPL as the second most successful player.
